Company Achieved 371% License Revenue Growth, Expanded Client Base, Increased Global Presence and Received Numerous Product Accolades in 2004 PLANO, TX - Fuego, the thought leader in agile business process management (BPM) solutions, today announced that it has achieved 371 percent license revenue growth for fiscal 2004 as compared to 2003. The company also announced that total revenue for the fourth quarter increased by 117 percent over Q4 2003 and backlog more than tripled. The company pointed to the success of its award-winning product, FuegoBPM, an increase in BPM and service-oriented architecture (SOA) market awareness and a shift towards the adoption of enterprise-wide process development platforms, as primary drivers for its client wins and growth. FuegoBPM is an advanced software platform that enables companies to easily achieve the promised benefits of a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Customers can model their business processes, define key performance indicators (KPI's), connect those processes to people and systems, run them, manage process exceptions and measure, monitor and optimize their effectiveness, at a fraction of the cost of traditional infrastructure solutions. "The company has grown well beyond our expectations this year, and we are very excited about its future," said Jon Lauck, President and CEO, Fuego. "The shift towards large-scale BPM platform deployments coupled with FuegoBPM's small footprint, standards-based interoperability, enterprise-level performance and value-based pricing, uniquely qualify it to become the platform of choice for large-scale SOA deployments." Expanded Client Base During 2004, Fuego added over 50 new enterprise clients, more than doubling its total customer base. Each new customer selected and deployed FuegoBPM as their platform of choice for achieving continuous process improvement. All of the deals were competitive wins against other pure-play BPM and larger infrastructure providers. Fuego's Fortune 500 clients have implemented some of the largest BPM solutions in the world. Fuego customers are leaders in the insurance, healthcare, financial services, airline, telecommunications, education, government and energy services industries. All trust FuegoBPM as the platform to streamline their processes and deliver on the promise of SOA every day. Increased Global Presence To meet customer demand, Fuego expanded the reach of its global sales, marketing and customer service functions throughout Europe and Latin America. Fuego signed numerous original equipment manufacturer (OEM) relationships, and built strategic relationships with key systems integrators such as Perot Systems, CSC, Deloitte, Hitachi Consulting and others. The company will continue to expand its distribution reach through the announcement of additional OEM, reseller and System Integrator relationships throughout 2005. In November, Fuego announced that it had closed an equity investment of $5.0 million, primarily to expand into important international markets throughout 2005 and beyond. Numerous Product Accolades In 2004, the company received numerous awards for FuegoBPM, including "BPM Solution of the Year" from Business Integration Journal and "Best Process Optimization BPM Vendor" from BPM Today. It also garnered leader level product reviews from leading industry analyst firms such as Gartner, META Group, Forrester Research, IDC, Delphi Group, Butler Group, and others. The company recently released FuegoBPM version 5.5, again setting the bar for BPM software with features such as multi-process simulation and monitoring, point-and-click BAM, wizard-driven rules creation and much more. According to customers, the ease-of-use, comprehensive capabilities, scalability, reliability and open architecture of FuegoBPM were strong differentiators identified during head-to-head platform/infrastructure and pure-play BPM competitive product evaluations. Version 5.5 of FuegoBPM was released in November 2004. "Most of our customers implement full-scale processes in less than 60 days, enabling them to immediately receive tremendous value," said Jon Lauck, President and CEO, Fuego. "More importantly, the ease-of-use, interoperability, adherence to standards and value-based pricing of FuegoBPM offers clients an extremely low total cost of ownership - in many cases 1/10th that of other platform solutions. This makes it the ideal BPM platform of choice for today's enterprise-level SOA deployments."
